You are one of a rare breed: technically savvy and a highly effective communicator with a passion for online communities. You’ve worked as a software pro for a few years now, but you crave the opportunity to make a difference in the world with both your technical skills and your social networking abilities. You are a natural at bringing technical people together to learn more about the creative ways people use software to solve business and world problems. In the vPro computing space, we are seeking a Community & Program Manager responsible for building communities of passionate developers. You will work as part of the Intel Software Network community team with a focus on Security, Performance, Remote Management, Productivity, Activation and other vPro capabilities. Key areas of responsibility include:

- Own and drive a topic area in the community (i.e. Security, Performance, Remote Management, Productivity, Activation and other emerging computing performance technologies)
- Engage with the community to champion the products, technologies and the company; be a community advocate
- Represent Intel to the community through written, online communications
- Monitor and participate in the community using a blend of your skills to include writing blogs and forum posts, leading the content strategy and its execution, tending community growth and analyzing community behavior
- Recruit community bloggers (both internal and external to the company)
- Create or find controversy to attract ongoing interest and participation in the site
- Promote key community participants
- Use the Intel(r) Software Network (ISN) toolset and principles to develop and grow the community
- Be the group’s lead engineer on representing Intel’s software strategy in this area with deal pursuits initiated by the sales & marketing teams.
We are willing to train the right candidate – communication skills and interpersonal skills are key.

*** Qualifications ***

- Deep analytical skill sets of identifying and analyzing problems, solutions and providing guidance with OEMs and ISV in software perspective
- Highly motivated and willing to apply creativity and/or innovation to solving platform level issues
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to work on a small development team to identify and resolve design and debug issues rapidly by representing the customer’s technical needs
- Willingness to travel internationally to spend some time in abroad during program cycle, specifically around product launches or technical customer support.

*** Minimum Requirements ***

- You must possess a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Business
- 5+ year’s of Project/Program Management
- 5+ year’s direct experience in Intel Software and Hardware Products in Laptops, Desktop, Server, Netbooks and Ultrabook
- Relevant experience in software development and engineering
- Proficient in at Windows* & Linux* OS and knowledge of Intel Tools and Compilers
